Greater Fredericksburg Virginia PAL members will have the unique opportunity to learn about the “other side of sports.” The Sports Management Leadership Institute has customized their Sports Literacy program to meet the needs of the PAL members. Courses are offered to high school level students and the PAL staff members. After completing the courses students will receive a micro-credential and digital badge. The goal of the program is to enhance and further a student’s interest in the business of sports. In addition to the online courses made available, the Sports Literacy program will offer:

  • TOSOS - The Other Side of Sports Networking (Conference).

  • S.P.O.R.T.S. - Successful Pathways & Opportunities Reachable Today in Sports (Seminar).

  • CAP - Career Assistance Program (internships, apprenticeships, entry level positions, resume building, mock interviews.
